The 2025-2026 membership/school year will be off to a great start with MarylandCTSO Joint Advisor Training, Tuesday, September 9, 2025. This MSDE-sponsored event will bring together 200 chapter advisors representing Educators Rising, FBLA, FFA and SkillsUSA for a day of CTSO chapter management training/best practices, information-sharing and networking. SkillsUSA will also be facilitating a state association planning meeting, so you won’t want to miss it! Last year, over 100 high schools and career centers from 22 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) were represented – let’s beat last year’s record attendance! More information will be sent directly to chapter lead advisors. If you are not on the current advisor contact list and wish to start a new chapter, please contact Chuck Wallace, Coordinator of CTE Student Organizations, Division of College and Career Pathways, MSDE, at charles.wallace@maryland.gov
SkillsUSA Maryland Advisor of the Year Recognition
The SkillsUSA Maryland Board of Directors recognizes that there are many professional members (advisors/instructors) across the State that “go the extra mile” on a regular basis for their students and chapter. The SkillsUSA Advisor of the Year Award (AOY) is a great way to recognize these individuals. Consider nominating a colleague (or yourself) for this important recognition! Contact State Director for more information: charles.wallace@maryland.go
